Branden W. Joseph is Frank Gallipoli Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at Columbia University. Drew Sawyer is Phillip Leonian and Edith Rosenbaum Leonian Curator of Photography at the Brooklyn Museum.With contributions by: Gwen Allen, Julia Bryan-Wilson, Tavia Nyong’o, Alexis Salas, and Mimi Thi Nguyen.
