Prof. Dr. Thomas Schildbach hat dieses Lehrbuch 1987 erstmalig verfasst. Er war bis zu seiner Pensionierung an der Universität Passau Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit Schwerpunkt Revision und Unternehmensrechnung. StB Prof. Dr. Thomas Stobbe ist Professor für Steuern und Wirtschaftsprüfung an der Hochschule Pforzheim in der Fakultät Wirtschaft und Recht. Prof. Dr. Christoph Freichel ist Wirtschaftsprüfer, Steuerberater und Fachberater für Internationales Steuerrecht. Er ist Geschäftsführer der Moore TK GmbH Steuerberatungsgesellschaft und der Moore TK Audit & Advisory GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft. Prof. Dr. Katrin Trinks ist Professorin für Betriebliche Steuerlehre und Unternehmensrechnung an der HTWG Konstanz und als Wirtschaftsprüferin und Steuerberaterin selbstständig tätig.
