Oradour und die Deutschen
On June 10, 1944, Waffen-SS soldiers destroyed the French village of Oradour. In her study, Andrea Erkenbrecher examines how the Germans dealt with the massacre after 1949. She investigates the legal prosecution of the perpetrators, reparation payments, the significance of German Oradour revisionism, and the possibilities and limits of reconciliation – without losing sight of the survivors and those left behind by the massacre.
Biographie - Erkenbrecher, Andrea
Andrea Erkenbrecher studierte Neuere und Neueste Geschichte sowie Sozialpsychologie. Als wissenschaftliche Beraterin begleitete sie unter anderem Dokumentarfilme zum Thema Oradour-sur-Glane. Sie arbeitete auch als sachverständige Historikerin für die Zentrale Stelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen zur Aufklärung nationalsozialistischer Verbrechen sowie insbesondere im Rahmen des Ermittlungsverfahrens zu dem Massaker in Oradour für die Staatsanwaltschaft Dortmund.
