Alberto Toscano lehrt an der kanadischen Simon Fraser University und am Goldsmiths College in London. Er ist der Autor von "Fanaticism. On the Uses of an Idea" (Verso, 2010) und "Cartographies of the Absolute" (Zero Books, 2015). Er ist Mitherausgeber von Ruth Wilson Gilmores "Abolition Geography: Essays in Liberation" (Verso, 2022) und Georges Battailes "Critical Essays" (Seagull, 2023) und hat Schriften von Antonio Negri und Alain Badiou ins Englische übersetzt.
