In his paintings, Nis Knudsen (b. 1989) works with planes of color arranged in various configurations. While this approach is reminiscent of De Stijl, Concrete Art and Constructivism, the Hamburg-based artist succeeds to impressive effect in adding new dimensions to the field of classic abstraction.
